Meet Our Staff

Anne Markowitz Recht, LMSW, CMC
Anne has been a Geriatric Care Manager since 2000. She is a former director of the Family and Children’s Guardianship Program and has held various positions as an administrator at other nonprofit organizations. Anne is frequently appointed by the Supreme Courts of Nassau County on guardianship matters. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and is a past Chairperson of Senior Umbrella Network of Nassau and Queens. Her degrees include a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Albany and a Master of Social Work from Adelphi University. Anne recently received the Care Manager Certification from the National Academy of Certified Care Managers.

Anne presents about various topics relating to Geriatric Care Management and elder care issues for The New York State Bar Association, Women in Law Committee; The National Business Institute; C.W. Post College; and the Association of the New York City Bar’s Health Law Committee. Ms. Recht has also presented for Guardian and Court Examiner training for New York State. Ms. Recht received the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation’s Outstanding Service Award for 2004.

Lynne E. Vaughan, LMSW
Lynne is a case manager and has been with AM Recht and Associates since 2004. Lynne worked for the Family and Children Association’s guardianship program before receiving her Master in Social Work from New York University in 2004. Lynne has a Bachelor of Science degree from C.W. Post College School of Social Work. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

Patricia Houran, BSW
Patricia Houran is AM Recht & Associates Director of Companion Services. Patricias professional experience includes home health care, service coordination for people with special needs as well as abuse prevention and victim advocacy. Her experience with and compassion for people who need help is essential in her role as Director of Companion Services. Patricia demonstrates great passion in providing superior coordination and care to our clients. She is committed to recruiting professional Companions who are equally dedicated to improving the quality of our clients lives. She holds a Bachelors degree in Social Work from Southern Vermont College, as well as certificates in Abuse Prevention and Victim Advocacy.
